the interviews

Just Vision has collected dozens of interviews with Palestinian and Israeli grassroots leaders working toward ending the occupation and building a future of freedom, dignity and equality for all. The interviews in this section – produced in Arabic, Hebrew and English – represent just a fraction of the civic leaders working in the field today.

This body of interviews aims to provide a range of perspectives and approaches to ending the occupation and the conflict, and spans over the last decade. While the views, opinions and recommendations expressed in these interviews do not necessarily reflect those of Just Vision, we believe this archive provides valuable lessons learned and can inform current and future conversations around critical issues. The perspectives of interviewees continually evolve, as does ours. Each interview reflects a snapshot of an individual's perspective at a specific moment in time.

For more about Just Vision’s approach, please visit our What We Do page.

When identifying grassroots leaders for interviews, we held to three essential criteria:

  • They live in Israel or the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
  • They are pursuing nonviolent approaches to ending the occupation and the conflict.
  • They are civilians.
