Women, War & Peace II: New York Launch Event

Location: New York, NY     Screening Time: 7:00 pm

Just Vision's latest documentary, Naila and the Uprising, is one of four films featured in the upcoming series, Women, War & Peace II, set to air Monday, March 25 and Tuesday, March 26, 9-11 p.m. on PBS (check local listings).

In a year when women are mobilizing and running for office in unprecedented numbers, Women, War & Peace II uncovers the untold histories of those who have made it possible. The series reveals the transformative power of contemporary peacebuilders around the world and the long road ahead. The new series demonstrates how some of the biggest international stories of recent memory are shaped by women.

On March 12, an all-female cast of directors, including our own Creative Director, Julia Bacha, will speak about never-before-told stories about the women who risked their lives for peace, changing history in the process. Women, War & Peace II is executive produced by Abigail Disney and Gini Reticker for Fork Films and Stephen Segaller for THIRTEEN Productions LLC for WNET.

This launch event is co-hosted by the Women, Peace and Security Program at the Advanced Consortium on Cooperation, Conflict & Complexity (AC4), the Earth Institute, Columbia University; Fork Films; THIRTEEN Productions LLC for WNET; and Peace is Loud. The event is free and open to the public, though registration is required.
