An Israeli nonprofit organization of veterans who have served in the Israeli military since the beginning of the Second Intifada in 2000. The organization focuses on gathering the testimonies of Israeli soldiers who have served in the Occupied Palestinian Territories in order to open debate on the effects of the occupation on Israeli soldiers and the Palestinian population. Breaking the Silence also offers tours of the Old City of Hebron in the West Bank, where the Israeli army retains a strong presence amongst Jewish Israeli settlers and Palestinians.
