About the Timeline
"Name up to 10 historical events and name up to 4 personal events that have shaped your understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and led you to get involved?"
We are posing this question to dozens of Palestinian and Israeli civilians who are committed to crossing the Green Line to work cooperatively, in nonviolent ways, to build a base for peace between their two societies. The answers to this question have been compiled in an interactive timeline.
How to use the timeline
-Drag the arrows on the left or the circles to show events on the timeline.

-Orange dots represent events of historical significance to the interviewees.
-Red dots represent events of personal significance.
Why create this timeline?
There are a wide range of perspectives about the history of the conflict and about the significance of past events. This timeline highlights the differences and shared understandings among Palestinian and Israeli individuals committed to forging a new, rights-respecting and secure future for both peoples. It also illustrates the ways in which historical events impact people's daily lives.
