Shlomi Daskal

I'm positive that there are some terms that must exist in order for [a peace process] to work: the process must be open, it must take place here and we must understand exactly what its toll will be. The people must partake in the process in terms of knowledge and awareness. We have to learn to put ourselves in the Palestinians' shoes and they in ours.
Through his work with The People's Voice, Shlomi Daskal co-coordinates a signature gathering campaign in support of a set of principles based on the two-state solution. The principles address controversial issues such as the future of Jerusalem, Palestinian refugees, and settlements. So far, over 400,000 Israelis and Palestinians have signed. Shlomi is also a member of Realistic Religious Zionism, a group of young Orthodox Israeli Jews attempting to reorient their own community away from the desire for Israel to control the West Bank and Gaza.
