Intervene when you are challenged by individuals who stereotype the field, or who take a "pro" or "anti" stance to either Israelis or Palestinians. Here are some ideas for approaching these conversations:

• Stay open minded and be willing to hear others' concerns, fears, and questions
• Suggest a film, book, or interview that might give a new perspective
• Invite people to events with a peacebuilder
• Introduce the person you're speaking with to a friend who has a different perspective
• Make your goal dialogue, not conversion

As Robi Damelin says in Encounter Point, "There is no pro Israeli or pro Palestinian, there is pro solution."
